TOUR DETAILS

Q. How much is the Secrets, Scandals & Sunsets tour?

A. Our 1.5hour Sunset Cruise is $59 Adult, $55 Senior.

Q. How long does the tour go for?

A. Your Secrets, Scandals & Sunsets by Aquaduck tour lasts for 1.5 hours. Its start and end point is the same location at Aquaduck HQ, shop 34 Circle on Cavill, Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise.

Q. What food and drinks are included?

A. Your tour includes drinks (beer, wine, bubbles, soft drink) and a choice of nibbles. These will be served while the duck is on the water. 

Q. Do you get to steer the Aquaduck?

A. No. Our secrets scandals & sunsets tour is an adults only tour including drinks on-board. You will not be offered the opportunity to steer the Aquaduck on the water. 

Q. What time is check in?

A. Check-in time is 20 minutes prior to departure. Failure to check in on time may result in your tickets being forfeited.

Q. What if we are running late?

A. Please ensure you arrive 20 minutes prior to departure and check-in at Aquaduck HQ – Shop 34 Circle On Cavill, Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217.

The tour will depart on time. Failure to board will result in your ticket being forfeited. Abusive and aggressive behaviour will result in a 100% cancellation fee.

Q. Is this an Aquaduck tour?

A. This is the Aquaduck like you haven’t seen it before. The tour is operated on the Aquaduck but the tour route is different to our regular one hour city tour and river cruise. The commentary is also very different, featuring stories about the Gold Coast’s more colourful characters and is suitable for adults only. Drinks and nibbles are served on board. 

Q. How old do you have to be to go on the Secrets, Scandals & Sunsets Tour?

A. This is an adults only tour. Minimum age is 18 years. If you are travelling with your family we recommend our Aquaduck one hour city tour and river cruise.

Q. Do you operate if it’s raining?

A. Yes we do. The vessel is fully covered and in wet conditions, we have clear pull-down sides to keep the water out.

Q. Will you get wet on the tour?

A. No, you will not get wet on the tour. 

Q. Is the Aquaduck ride a river cruise or a city tour?

A. Lucky for you it’s both. As we are a bus and a boat you get two tours for the price of one. The Aquaduck tour spends approx 40mins on the water and 20mins on the road. 

Q. Is the Aquaduck a bus or a boat?

A. It’s both. The Aquaduck is an amphibious vessel, More info.

Q. Where is the Sunset Cruise departure location?
Q. What is the nearest G-Link tram station?

A. The nearest station is Cavill Avenue station, approximately 50metres from our office. G-Link Website

Q. Where is the closest and best value car parking?

There is parking available at Circle on Cavill. If you park in Circle on Cavill carpark ask our staff for a parking validation ticket at check-in for your Aquaduck tour.

Scan the ticket when you pay your parking at the pay machine and 2hrs will be deducted. Park for 2hrs or less and parking is free.

Q. Where are the closest toilets?

A. Public toilets are available in Circle on Cavill next to Woolworths and the Paradise Centre Shopping Centre. 

PAYMENT, RESCHEDULES & CANCELLATION POLICY

Q. Do I need to pay in advance? Or can I pay on the day?

A. Paying in advance either over the phone or online will secure your seats for the tour. If you prefer not to pay in advance you can come to Aquaduck HQ on Cavill Avenue and we will book you on the next available tour.

Q. What payment types do you accept?

A. We offer a variety of payment options – Visa, Mastercard, Cash, Amex, GooglePay, ApplePay, Paypal, Afterpay, Alipay, and China Union Pay.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. We require 48 hours notice to cancel your booking and provide you with a refund. If you contact us inside 48hrs but outside 24 hours of your ride we can reschedule your tour for you for no charge. Within 24 hours, full charges apply and no refunds will be given. There are no refunds if you no-show or are late for your departure so please ensure you check-in with us at least 20minutes prior to your scheduled departure.

Q. I’m sick, can I reschedule?

A. Yes, you can call us 24hrs prior and we will reschedule your ride for you. We hope you feel better soon.

ACCESSIBILITY & SPECIAL NEEDS

Q. Can I go on the Aquaduck if I am pregnant?

A. This is completely up to you. The ride is bumpy and maybe uncomfortable from time to time. Many of our tour guides have been pregnant working on the duck up until 9 months but it’s up to you. Please check with  your doctor if you are unsure.

Q. Do you have storage for luggage and strollers?

A. Strollers, luggage and wheelchairs can be stored at Aquaduck HQ for the duration of your tour.

Q. Do you offer hotel pick up?

A. No, we do not. We are located centrally in the heart of Surfers Paradise and only a short walk from the major hotels.

Q. Can I take a baby on board?

A. If you need to bring your baby and they are 0-1 years, they can ride for free on your lap. This is an adults only tour and children and toddlers are not permitted on the tour. 

Q. Is it safe? What if I can’t swim?

A. Yes, the Aquaduck is very safe. You don’t need to swim as we will be keeping you onboard the whole time. We also carry life-jackets onboard in case of emergency and our trained staff will assist in this situation.

Q. What language/s is your tour commentary in?

A. Your tour includes a humorous and interesting live commentary in English spoken by your tour guide. 

Q. Do you have foreign translators?

A. No. Tour commentary is only available in English. We do have our key safety information translated into Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Japanese languages. These are kept on-board please ask staff to assist.

Q. Is it wheelchair accessible?

A. The Aquaduck vessels are not wheelchair accessible, unfortunately. There are 5 steps to climb into the Aquaduck. If you can do the stairs our team are happy to assist you into the duck. Further information is available on our accessibility statement.

Q. Are service dogs allowed on board?

A. Service dogs are permitted on board. Further information is available on our accessibility statement.

Q. Can we eat or drink on the duck?

A. Your tour includes drinks and nibbles which will be served by your guide whilst on the water. Water bottles are accepted onboard, however, no other food or other drinks are permitted to be brought on board.

GIFT VOUCHERS, PROMO CODES & SPECIAL RATES

Q. Do you sell gift vouchers?

A. Gift vouchers are available for all ticket types and merchandise. Gift Vouchers are valid for 3 years.

Q. How do I use my gift voucher?

A. If you have received a secrets, scandals and sunsets tour gift voucher please book your tour online for your preferred date and time and enter your voucher number in the ‘add promo code/voucher’ section. The value of your voucher will be deducted from your booking.

Q. I have a promo code, how do I use it?

A. Please book your tour online for your preferred date and time and enter your promo code in the ‘add promo code/voucher’ section. The value of your promo code will be deducted from your booking. Please ensure you are booking within the validity period of the promo code.
