About The Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is located 80km (or 1 hours drive) from the Queensland capital city of Brisbane. With 57km of pristine Australian coastline, 270km of waterways, an international airport only 700m from the beach, and 100,000 ha of natural parks and subtropical rainforest including Tamborine mountain, Springbrook and Lamington National Parks, it’s no surprise this is one of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations.

It’s easy to see why over 11 million tourists from near and far visit the Coast each year to explore the city’s beautiful beaches and natural hinterland.

Holiday itineraries include high rise accommodation overlooking the Pacific Ocean, dining in world-class restaurants and rooftop bars, and unique experiences such as sunset cruises, jet boating, indoor skydiving and scuba diving.

Our Gold Coast city tour isn’t the only thing you should do!

A visit to the Gold Coast wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the iconic theme parks  Dreamworld, Sea World, Movie World, Wet’n’Wild, Paradise Country or Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Travellers return home with a phone full of pictures, a face full of smiles, and lifelong memories of a truly unforgettable Gold Coast Holiday.

Gold Coast Weather

The Gold Coast is famous for its 300 days of sunshine per year and warm, mild sub-tropical climate resulting in an average daily temperature of 23°C and an inviting average water temperature of 22°C.

Summer (Dec to Feb) bright sunny days range from 20-28°C. Cool sea breezes offer relief from the heat and summer storms in the early evenings lend themselves to amazing light shows and cool things back down for comfortable evenings. This is the best time for water activities including stand up paddle boarding, surfing and swimming.

Autumn (Mar to May) pleasant days and warm nights 16-26°C make this the ideal season for exploring the outdoors – fishing, jet skiing, bush walking and dining out in the open.

Winter (Jun – Aug) on the gold coast is still warm 11-21°C with sunny days and cool and cozy evenings by the fire. The humidity and rainfall are also lower during winter. The clear cool days provide ideal conditions for sunrise hot air ballooning, and Whale watching.

Spring (Sep – Nov) brings back the warmth 15-25°C with sunny days and mild evenings. This is a great time for exploring the hinterland cafes, wineries and galleries, or an evening guided glow worm tour.
