Surfers Paradise

True to its name, Surfers Paradise is one of Australia’s most iconic beaches. Clean white sand and the crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean rolling in under the sunny blue skies make this beach perfect for swimming, surfing or simply strolling along. Surfers Paradise beach is manned by lifeguards 365 days a year so be sure to swim between the flags.

However, there is a lot more to this three-kilometre stretch of coastline than the picturesque beachfront and the insta-famous ‘Surfers Paradise’ sign. Surfers Paradise is the heartbeat of the Gold Coast. With alfresco dining, street entertainers, family attractions, a jam-packed calendar of events and world-famous nightclubs and bars, the atmosphere is always fun and inviting.

Known by the locals as “Surfers” it is the heart of the Gold Coast, and Cavill Avenue is the heart of Surfers. From the Nerang River down to Surfers beach, this 500metre street and pedestrian mall is bustling with people from across the world day and night. Whether you’re looking for beachside shopping, arcade games for the kids, fine dining, or a relaxing cappuccino and a people-watching session, Cavill Avenue ticks all the boxes.
